You don’t have to keep carrying this. Reach out today and take the first step toward relief, safety, and lasting healing.

Who Trauma Therapy Helps

Trauma therapy is for anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed, or haunted by something painful. You might be a parent watching your child struggle, a teen trying to make sense of a difficult past, a veteran living with PTSD, or an adult tired of the anxiety that never fully goes away.

No matter your age or experience, you deserve to feel safe in your body and at peace in your life. If you’re ready to move forward, trauma therapy in Denver can help.

We help you feel these emotions:

  • I feel safe in my body for the first time in years.

  • I'm no longer overwhelmed by my past.

  • I can stay present, even when things get hard.

  • I sleep through the night without fear or panic.

  • I trust myself—and the people around me—again.

  • My reactions make sense now, and I have tools that work.

  • I feel more like myself—calm, connected, and clear.

HOW WE WORK WITH YOU

Healing trauma takes more than one approach. That’s why we use a mix of effective methods—like somatic experiencing, EMDR, talk therapy, and neurofeedback. Your therapist will choose the tools that best match your needs, personality, and pace.

Trauma therapy helps you feel safe in your body, process painful memories, and move forward without being controlled by the past. You can’t change what happened, but you can change how it lives in you now.

When combined with neurofeedback, trauma therapy becomes even more powerful. By training your brainwaves, you’ll regulate emotions more easily and feel more like yourself again—clear, calm, and in control.

Personalized Treatment Plan:

Neurotherapy for Trauma and/or PTSD

At our Denver trauma therapy clinic, we create personalized treatment plans that combine counseling with neurotherapy to support trauma and PTSD recovery in a deeper, more effective way. While counseling helps you process difficult experiences and build emotional resilience, neurotherapy works directly with the brain—encouraging healthier patterns and reducing the neurological impact of trauma in real time.

This integrated approach allows us to address both the emotional and physiological effects of trauma at once. Many clients report feeling calmer, more focused, and more in control after just a few sessions.

Whether you choose to combine both services or focus on one, your care plan will be tailored to your unique needs. Our goal is to offer a safe, supportive space where healing can happen—mentally, emotionally, and neurologically.

counseling

Receive personalized support from our therapists, who offer therapies like EMDR, EFT, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and more.

neurofeedback

We offer neurostimulation and neurotherapy services alongside counseling. This way, you can understand your brain and
re-train its patterns.

FAQ

What does trauma therapy involve?

Trauma therapy involves connecting with a therapist and building a safe connection. The connection that clients have with their therapist is often the biggest factor in determining how strong the outcome is. All of our therapists are trained in attunement and helping clients feel safe.

Once a safe connection is established, we can start to work with the trauma that brings you or a loved one to therapy. Your therapist will work with you to make a treatment plan that feels “right” to you. We move at a comfortable pace, and are here to help you overcome trauma in a thorough way.

How do I know if I need trauma therapy?

There are a number of recognized signs of trauma for children, teens, and adults. A few common signs are anxiety, depression, feeling stressed or overwhelmed, fear of making mistakes, and having a hard time trusting others. There are many forms of trauma and they affect different people differently, so we’ll be sure to do a thorough evaluation.

The hallmark of trauma is that the past still feels present when we remember it. We’re not fully over the incident(s) and the pain is still stored in our bodies. Trauma is present when we recall a painful experience and feel afraid, angry, sad, or “triggered.” When you’re ready to heal and put the past in the past, the first step is to get your free 20-minute phone consultation.

How long does trauma therapy usually take?

The number of sessions it takes to heal trauma depends on many factors. For one, how severe the trauma was, which is correlated with how young the person is when it happened and what beliefs and fears developed as a result. For another, which therapy modality is used and how receptive the client is to it. Different modalities appeal to different people, and that’s okay.

Our therapists will check in with you or your loved one often to make sure our approach is working. Once we find an approach that works and that you like, we can guide you through the processing of trauma, and help you get to the other side of it for good.

How do I get started in trauma therapy at Neuro Colorado?

This is your chance to share whatever you’re comfortable sharing, ask questions, and see which of our therapists is a good fit for you.
